The Wednesday, August 19, 2020, The Bold & the Beautiful opens with a pow-wow between Quinn Forrester (Rena Sofer) and Shauna Fulton (Denise Richards). Shauna gets the feeling that her husband and Quinn’s husband are trying to avoid her. Quinn plays cheerleader to a mopey Shauna. Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye) has finally left dysfunction junction with Brooke Forrester (Katherine Kelly Lang), but he doesn’t know what a good relationship with Shauna can feel like yet.

The Bold and the Beautiful spoilers reveal Shauna wishes that her new marriage wasn’t based on a lie. She could celebrate if the circumstances were different. Next on today’s Bold and the Beautiful recap, Thomas Forrester (Matthew Atkinson) pesters Steffy Forrester (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) about getting more pills. He’s tired of watching her in pain. Steffy asks him not to call her doctor—she can push through it. She cries about how hard it is to put her clothes on and how painful it is to sleep.

Steffy relents and calls Dr. John Finnegan (Tanner Dovlan) to tell him the pain is intolerable. Dr. Finn makes a housecall. Thomas advocates for his sister with the doctor. When he leaves, Tanner observes Steffy as she creeps around her house in discomfort. Steffy pleads for relief.
