Earlier this year, it was confirmed that Kaye will be taking several months off from the soap. The actor wants to spend quality time with his family. There are a lot of ways that Ridge’s exit could be written.
One possibility is that Ridge tries to kill Deacon and gets arrested for attempted murder. However, when he comes back, will Brooke have a change of heart? Will Hope see that she can have her mother and father, but that doesn’t mean they need to be together?

No Ridge doesn’t have to go to prison, he tells Brooke when she makes up her mind give him a call and see where they go at that time. Ridge leaves and goes overseas meets a awesome lady and makes him rethink life with Brooke.
Ridge will go back to Taylor, he flip flops a lot!

This is stupid. Hope is a big girl if she wants a relationship with her dad. Ok. But don’t shove Deacon down everyone’s throat. Cut the cord and move off your mother ‘s property. Ridge going jail. That is ridiculous. But I guess they have to do something with him while he takes his extended trip. But when he gets back. Dump those dam Logan’s and go back to Taylor.
Hope he doesn't go back to Taylor. They have been apart for years. What has she been doing, waiting for another chance with Ridge? She came back and was with Reese long enough for him to sell her Beth, let Taylor stay where ever she is.
I would prefer Ridge to go overseas and never return.
