Ridge may be driving the car but fans recall him kissing Quinn not too many years ago. That terrible choice caused Eric to be deeply hurt and temporarily cut Ridge out of his life.

There was nothing serious in the Ridge-Quinn encounter. They were attracted to each other, nothing more. There was no love match, then or since.

But the memory of that awful betrayal, which ranks with the worst free will choices Ridge made, is probably guilt-tripping his righteousness about Quinn now.

B&B Spoilers – Brooke Logan Forrester Fuels Search For Truth

Along with Ridge’s subconscious motivations are Brooke Logan Forrester’s (Katherine Kelly Lang) actions. She detests Quinn, has never liked her, as was recently said, and wants her gone.

Ridge is, in effect, doing Brooke’s bidding. That has long been part of the Bridge dynamic, dating back to when Ronn Moss (Ridge) embodied the character.

Brooke was standing aside of Ridge when Justin Barber (Aaron Spears) received his order to trail Quinn. So Brooke is arguably fueling this effort.

The Bold And The Beautiful Spoilers – Eric Forrester Attempts To Avoid Humiliation

Eric wants to retain his public dignity. So, along with a desire for Quinn’s fulfillment, Eric does not want to be humiliated. That probably would have happened if he divorced Quinn. She would have had every reason to go public with Quarter.

But the unusual scenario that Eric is endorsing seems to represent a final card being played as part of an attempt to retain the semblance of perceived normalcy. That reality makes Ridge’s efforts dangerous.

Justin is teased to learn about Quarter and report that intel to Ridge, who will tell his dad in turn. What Ridge has no way of knowing is that sequence will set him up as the goat.
