The Bold and the Beautiful spoilers document that Thomas Forrester’s (Matthew Atkinson) timing was perfect. Viewers suspected that he was being written into a double reveal, which is exactly what happened in the next scene that Atkinson appeared in.

Having Thomas overhear Liam Spencer (Scott Clifton) and Hope Spencer (Annika Noelle) talking about the night of the mannequin and the resulting cliff house event represented a watershed moment in this arc. Within that scenario, Thomas learned that Liam betrayed Hope’s trust and that Steffy Forrester (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) may be pregnant with his child in so doing.

If the coming paternity test confirms that John Finnegan (Tanner Novlan) is the father of Steffy’s child, then Hope could choose to believe that Lope hasn’t been permanently damaged. But if Liam is the father, then his wife will be put in a potentially untenable position.

Hope would have to demonstrate more than her traditional understanding. She would have to swallow her longtime rival’s increased role in Liam’s life.

The presence of another Steam child would certainly mean that Liam would need to spend even more time at the cliff house, with Hope having to accept that reality.

Atkinson became the Thomas recast a few years ago, with the devolution of this character following. His obsession with Hope grew, eventually resulting in an unwanted union, and an attempt at another that failed at the faux wedding ceremony where Thomas claimed to want to marry Zoe Buckingham (Kiara Barnes).

But the bad guy tag began to shift when Liam didn’t realize Thomas was kissing a mannequin. That sparked the cliff house incident, where Steffy behaved as badly as Liam. However, Liam believes that he drove what has become a major conflict.

There’s no doubt that Hope loves Liam. She sees him as a good father to the children they are raising.

However, the bond that Hope has allowed to remain in place with Thomas is important within this evolving dynamic. Their co-parenting of Douglas Forrester (Henry Samiri) represents ongoing potential. So, it is now reasonable to believe that Hope could leave Liam and eventually marry Thomas.
