King’s character is embarrassed and he’s rationalizing. His past efforts to pacify Sheila resulted in her staying away from Finn for decades. That’s why Jack believes that the meet-and-greet at the cliff house will satisfy Sheila now.

Teasers indicate that Steffy will return home and be shocked by what’s transpired. That is said to lead to a major fight between her and Finn, with a temporary split resulting. Yes, what Sheila wants is what Sheila gets.
