Instinct isn’t some mysterious, otherworldly reality. Instead, Steffy’s learned experience with Sheila in daytime days gone by allowed her to know that Finn was vulnerable to an attack.
Meanwhile, back at the cliff house, Sheila stood at the front door requesting to enter. Jack set that unwanted visit up via text, which followed his colorful conversation with Brown’s character in her hotel room.

Jack should have told Li Finnegan (Naomi Matsuda) and Finn the truth years ago. At the very least he could have admitted to being Finn’s biological father either at the wedding reception or shortly thereafter.
King’s character is embarrassed and he’s rationalizing. His past efforts to pacify Sheila resulted in her staying away from Finn for decades. That’s why Jack believes that the meet-and-greet at the cliff house will satisfy Sheila now.
Teasers indicate that Steffy will return home and be shocked by what’s transpired. That is said to lead to a major fight between her and Finn, with a temporary split resulting. Yes, what Sheila wants is what Sheila gets.

The happy couple will be facing their first real crisis. Steffy’s fall into pain-killer addiction created some harsh words, but that was reflective of the situation and the impact those chemicals had on her behavior.
Finn is caught between the full love he has for Steffy, the promise he just made to her about protecting their family, and his feelings for Sheila that he hasn’t been able to digest.
So, will Sinn break up immediately and never get back together? That seems unlikely. But nothing is predictable as long as Sheila remains in the storyline.
