Steffy broke up with Finn when she discovered Sheila Carter (Kimberlin Brown) in Monaco. Of course, Finn tried to make Sheila get off the plane before they left LA.
Finn also bought Sheila a return ticket and ordered her to leave Monaco and return home. Unfortunately, Sheila’s plane was delayed that blew Finn’s entire plan.
Steffy immediately jumped a plane back to Los Angeles and proceeded to get drunk on her way home.
Steffy showed up at Forrester Creations and dropped the entire story on Carter, who was dealing with his own heartbreak at the time. Steffy’s lack of judgement lead to her making a huge mistake, one that she cannot take back.
Daphne Rose Walton Broke Up With Carter Walton

Daphne Rose Walton (Murielle Hilaire) was distraught over her inability to have children and she took out her frustrations on Carter.
Daphne told him she was going home to France where she could be with her family. Daphne even told Carter that he wasn’t family and that their marriage was over. Carter was devastated by Daphne’s words.
Carter decided that the best thing to do was to grab a bottle and get drunk since his wife had left him. Carter stayed at the office and was there for Steffy to cry on his shoulder.
Unfortunately, crying is not all Steffy did when she got to the office. Steffy and Carter ended up having sex on the office couch and now both of their spouses want to repair their marriages.
Steffy Forrester Can’t Let The Truth Come Out
Steffy is about to tell Finn the truth about what happened between Carter and herself. However, Steffy may think better of this and call Carter, asking him to keep quiet about their couch tryst.
After all, Daphne is a good friend of Steffy’s and she certainly doesn’t want to ruin Carter’s marriage just like she doesn’t want to lose Finn.
