In the latest issue of Soap Opera Digest, actor Matthew Atkinson talked about “Thrope.” Despite multiple redemption stories and a brain tumor to explain the obsession with “Dolly Hope,” some fans still doubt Thomas’ intentions. Atkinson put it pretty clearly to the magazine,

“Thomas has gotten to a place where he has fully moved on. He has dealt with the sorrow and mourning of a relationship he wished he could have. He has dealt with his own issues which drove him to his obsession. He has dealt with the mental issues in perceiving things. He’s had surgery.”

Then, Atkinson dropped this bombshell,

““He genuinely loves Hope but he doesn’t think about her in that way. It’s not a romantic love.”
