The Bold and the Beautiful spoilers tease that in Los Angeles Jacqueline MacInnes Wood’s (Steffy Forrester) real-life pregnancy clearly creates on-screen possibilities. As viewers are seeing, Steffy is insistent that Liam Spencer (Scott Clifton) keep quiet about the cliff house incident.

Assuming Liam does and with recent banter about Steffy and John Finnegan (Tanner Novlan) having their own family some day, let’s advance the storyline to late next summer. A baby has just been delivered and Finn is the proud father of his perceived son.

Baby Finn obviously won’t look like his assumed, real father the moment he’s born. That visual identification would likely take a few years to play out, with the ever-observant Douglas Forrester (Henry Samiri) verbalizing the resemblance.

With all due winks made at past storylines in the eternal Liam, (Scott Clifton) Steffy, (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) Hope Spencer (Annika Noelle) triangle, it’s reasonable to believe that a pregnancy arc will be presented in 2021. But would Steffy actually lie about who the father of her child is?

Viewers never had a chance to learn what Steffy would have done if Bill Spencer (Don Diamont) was confirmed as Kelly Spencer’s (Avalon and Colette Gray) dad. The infamous backyard scene, at the previously referenced cliff house, a setting of much drama through the years, had Liam unexpectedly find the paternity paperwork.

Steffy felt compelled to go behind his back, as she was praying that Bill wasn’t the dad. He wasn’t, as the storyline flowed from there.

With the above in mind, a general revisiting of that circumstance can surely play out. But this time Liam would be calling for a secret test to ensure that he, not Finn, is the father of Steffy’s presumed son. The choice of a boy is offered, as Liam has two wonderful girls, with a brother set to assume the eventual Spencer mantle, at least in Bill’s eyes.

Finn would seem likely to either determine that Liam’s paternity is possible, or come to know about that potential along the way. That alone would dramatically impact the state of his relationship with Steffy by that point in the plot, even before paternity was confirmed.

It would seem most dramatic to have marriage plans, or realized nuptials between Steffy and Finn in place by next August. So, Liam could gain his first son, or Finn would have his first child. That projects as a great soapy arc.
