B&B spoilers reveal that Steffy is anxious to find out if Liam Spencer (Scott Clifton) or John “Finn” Finnegan (Tanner Novlan) is the father of her baby. Her doctor appointment finally arrives and she gets the pregnancy confirmed, then says she needs a paternity test. Dr. Campbell was going to schedule one at a later time, but Steffy panicked. She was agitated, pushy, demanding, and clearly stressed out. She actually thought she could get a paternity test right that second, but that’s not the way lab tests work.

Plus, Dr. Campbell explained that Steffy has to be at least eight weeks along to get the paternity test. She’s not quite there yet, so everyone is going to have to wait.

Normally, doctors are pretty good about checking their information two or three times to make sure there are no mistakes. This includes when it comes to calculating how far along a woman is in her pregnancy. Ultrasounds can be used to get measurements, but those are only close to being accurate as a woman gets closer to delivery. Most doctors still use the old way of calculating the last date of a missed period. It’s not an exact science, but it gets close and the method has been used for decades. Normally a few days wouldn’t matter that much. But with this paternity test, it could affect the results.

The Bold and the Beautiful spoilers reveal that Steffy will be counting down the days until she is in her eighth week of pregnancy. Remember, these calculations are estimates. So, Steffy really should wait until week nine to get tested just to be sure she’s far along enough. However, she won’t do that because she is too anxious to resolve the paternity issue. She will likely push Dr. Campbell to give her the paternity test on week eight, day one. Dr. Campbell will stress the importance of making sure she’s at least eight weeks and not one day earlier. But she will also realize that the stress could be hurting Steffy and her unborn child. So, it will probably be done in the best health interests of both mother and child.

B&B Spoilers – Inaccurate Results

It was teased in the 2021 preview of Soap Opera Digest that the paternity storyline will carry through most of 2021. If Steffy gets the paternity test now, then it shouldn’t be an issue in the future. Fans were confused by Bradley Bell’s statement. Most viewers assumed there would be a paternity switch.
