Thomas completely lost all sense of reality when this thing was around, and it seems that Carter has done the same. Carter has never paid any attention to Hope in the whole time they have worked together.

It is very strange how Hope suddenly loves Carter after her recent relationship with Thomas. Hope dated Thomas for months but never said those words to him.

Instead, Hope goes from a crush on Finn to loving Carter. This is just strange the way things have happened.
