The Bold and the Beautiful spoilers document that in Los Angeles Thomas Forrester (Matthew Atkinson) will continue to be haunted by the sight and sound of the Hope Spencer (Annika Noelle) mannequin. Her appearance, just prior to Halloween, makes for the perfect match.

Thomas’ long-standing mental and emotional dysfunction is playing out in the form of another fantasy. This time he’s come to believe that a doll, which strikingly, but not exactly, resembles the woman he was, or is still obsessed with, is alive.

Light-hearted soap opera fans aren’t distraught, or in an uproar. Seasoned viewers who appreciate a sense of humor and daytime fun are along for the ride.

Thomas Forrester Can’t Control Impulses

Thomas (Matthew Atkinson) wasn’t able to bring himself to tell Hope (Annika Noelle) the truth about Beth Spencer (Madeline Valdez and River Davidson) being alive. So, he chose to threaten others and keep that terrible secret hidden far past that point when it should have been exposed.

Later in the plot, Thomas decided to manipulate Hope into thinking that she should marry him. His other nuptial effort, with Zoe Buckingham (Kiara Barnes), was nothing more than an attempt to reignite Thope, which failed.

The Hope mannequin, or doll, is yet another projection of Thomas’ need for mental health treatment, which he incredibly hasn’t received to-date.

John Finnegan Becomes Aware Of Problem

John Finnegan (Tanner Novlan) is a doctor, but not a psychiatrist. So, he didn’t initially recognize that Thomas was off. It must be noted that Atkinson’s character is good at concealing his true presence.

Novlan’s character will be around a lot now that Finn and Steffy Forrester (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) have expressed the mutual love they have for each other. That means Finn will come to know Thomas and to observe him.

With the above, expressions about Steam, Liam Spencer (Scott Clifton), in particular, and other topics are sure to be experienced. So, Finn will become aware that Thomas isn’t all there very soon.

Finn Plays Hero In Reveal?

Someone is bound to discover plastic Hope. It would be intriguing and surely play into the developing storyline to have Finn be the character who is key in that regard.

Just as the good doctor treated Steffy, so too could he recognize Thomas’ issue and refer him to a specialist, other than Taylor Hayes (Hunter Tylo), who can address this major health concern.

      " Seasoned viewers who appreciate a sense of humor and daytime fun are along for the ride." We are absolutely seasoned viewers and are NOT just along for the ride. This ride has gone on long enough. The reign of jr. Bell is ruining this show. His "seasoned" writers have NO idea of the history or the story lines that made this show great. They create junk stuff to accommodate the "now" viewers who really don't care WHY this show took top honors for years. The continual parade of new cast members has not improved the quality of the show partially because when they get an actor/actress that fans love…..the last Sally….they create stupid ways to dump them by doing the insane bit or "trust" bit. Remember when Sally did not tell Wyatt about Thomas….and the Wyatt did not tell Sally about Flo….Talk about "trust" issues that were so stupid. It would seem that the scripts NEVER have anyone in a relationship but that they immediately go about destroying it. I am sure there are seasoned fans out there that would love to see some serious design competitions again and some relationships that WORK…..and THAT would only be a start to bringing back the power of this show.

      Whatever the reason for Thomas' behavior,something needs to be done to fix it. If that's Dr. Finn, so be it. But it certainly can't be Taylor.
