Hope was blindsided when Thomas suddenly resurfaced in Los Angeles and announced he was ready to contribute on Hope for the Future again.
That led to Steffy Forrester Finnegan (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) forcing Hope to fire Deke Sharpe (Harrison Cone), which was disappointing for Hope in more ways than one.
Deke is Hope’s brother, so she obviously felt guilty about ripping away his chance at a fashion career – even if it wasn’t her fault. However, Hope also genuinely liked Deke’s fresh take on her line.
Deke’s designs stood out from the pack when he submitted them anonymously, so his vision was special.
Nevertheless, Thomas acted all smug about not needing Deke and having the line covered with Zende Forrester Dominguez (Delon de Metz) as his right-hand man.
Steffy agreed Deke wasn’t needed and made Hope give him the boot, but will she ultimately regret that decision? Deke’s unique designs might’ve been exactly what Hope for the Future needed to make this relaunch a success.

People are surely clamoring for something different, but Thomas may deliver the same type of designs he’s offered up in the past. That may not be what buyers and critics are interested in anymore.
Meanwhile, Deke will score another designer opportunity at Katie Logan Spencer’s (Heather Tom) fashion house. Instead of waiting around for his designs to get used or getting forced out the door, Deke will become a valued team player.
Deke’s designs could help put Logan on the map and get the fashion world buzzing while Hope for the Future looks stale!
Between her own line’s bad reviews and abysmal numbers, Hope could end up even more frustrated with Steffy for kicking Deke out at Forrester Creations. It could leave Hope wondering whether that move will result in Hope for the Future’s final failure!
Will B&B knock Thomas’ ego down a notch by having his designs flop? Will Thomas do the same old thing when what’s really needed is a fresh perspective like Deke’s?
