B&B spoilers reveal that Atkinson appeared on the Sunday, September 24 episode of Bold! Live. Thomas is a character that has gone from one extreme to the other. At one time, redemption seemed impossible but somehow, Thomas is now considered a bit of a hero. The one thing that has been Thomas’ motivator whether he’s a villain or hero is Hope.

When Atkinson discussed if Thomas has truly changed, the actor explained that Thomas has gone through a spiritual awakening and realizes how unhealthy it was to obsess over Hope.

Atkinson also brought up Thomas getting over Hope. Now, it should be mentioned that Thomas probably will never get over Hope completely but is ready to move on. Atkinson said that the person Thomas will probably always think about is Hope.

Now, if he is getting a new love interest, how will that person deal with being “second best” or “plan B?” Sure, Thomas might not mention how important Hope is to him in the beginning, but it will come out at some point.

Who Thomas considers to be the perfect woman — Hope — and who is right for Thomas are not necessarily the same. Atkinson said that the type of woman that Thomas needs is someone like Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope). This isn’t saying that Sally is coming back to B&B but she has the type of qualities that would keep Thomas in line.

“It would be awesome, especially to have a Sally-type character because I think that Thomas really — to have a woman of such a strong presence to be able to push back and actually like correct him when he’s kind of veering off path would be awesome and then it would also create that extra drama.”
