The Bold And The Beautiful Spoilers: Thomas Warns Finn About Liam – Does Finn Detect Some Paranoia?

CBS The Bold and The Beautiful spoilers tease that in Los Angeles Thomas Forrester (Matthew Atkinson) will warn Dr. John Finnegan (Tanner Novlan) about Liam Spencer (Scott Clifton) in an upcoming episode. Will Finn detect some paranoia in Thomas?

The Bold And The Beautiful Spoilers – Liam Spencer Has Already Been Taken To Task About Overprotecting Steffy Forrester

Viewers will recall that last week, Liam had already been taken to task for overprotecting Steffy Forrester (Jacqueline Macinnes Wood). Hope Logan Spencer (Annika Noelle) in particular gave him a serious dressing down over it! The waffling Liam had acted jealous of Finn, and with his history of bouncing back and forth between Steffy and Hope, it is understandable how he would be taken that way. However, he realized that Finn is not out to hurt Steffy and that his only legitimate role is that of Kelly Spencer’s (Colette and Avalon Gray) father. He spelled that out to Steffy and Finn in one of last week’s episodes.

So when Thomas comes to warn Finn about Liam, Finn may tell him that it has been settled and there’s nothing to worry about. But it’s a good chance that Thomas will not be able to let it go, and Finn, as a doctor may see that there’s something off with Thomas. While every doctor is not a psychiatrist or a psychologist, all have training in spotting symptoms of mental disorders as well as symptoms that could be caused by a physical disorder of the brain. Even Thomas knows there’s something off with him as he tried to fight off the voices coming at him from the mannequin of Hope recently.

True, Liam has hurt Steffy many times. But the type of warnings that Thomas may be giving Finn, even though Finn saw Liam being too overprotective of Steffy, will give Finn cause for concern about Thomas. By this time, Steffy and Finn have gotten close enough that she may have told him some of Thomas’ history of obsession with Hope. But most of Thomas’s former obsession was more symptomatic of an obsessive-compulsive disorder, and he did seem to have worked that out while with his mother.

Thomas said he had been trying to work on his obsessive tendencies and his mother, a noted psychiatrist named Dr. Taylor Hayes (Hunter Tylo) had been helping him with it. Finn knew of Dr. Taylor Hayes and had mentioned her to Steffy when they first were getting to know each other when he was treating her after the motorcycle accident. But that obsession was centered on Hope, and a focus on Liam was not that much a part of it, although there had been a serious physical fight at one time on a rooftop.

Thomas may give Finn warnings about Liam that sound like paranoia to Finn. Paranoia can either be a symptom of an anxiety disorder or it can herald the onset of schizophrenia – which can include hallucinations! Finn will have to measure his next steps carefully, as he doesn’t want to come off paranoid himself in trying to help Thomas. He may even contact Taylor through professional networking to give her a heads-up about the symptoms her son is displaying!
