B&B wasn’t the only soap affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. Every production shut down as the nation was told to stay at home. What thought was going to just be a few weeks ended up keeping everyone inside their homes for three months. This includes Kaye, who is one of the core characters of the CBS soap opera.

B&B Spoilers – Resumes Production

The soap was the first to resume production. Although they did have to take a one-day pause to deal with changing labs and answering questions from the health department, they are back to work. During an interview with SoapCentral, Kaye discussed his personal quarantine experience, as well as his Emmy nomination.

The Bold And The Beautiful Spoilers – Thorsten Kaye’s Lockdown A Positive Experience

The Bold and the Beautiful actor travels between the East and West coast for work. When production was halted, travel was suddenly stopped. Once at home, he was able to spend some long-term quality time with his family, which he enjoyed. He explained,

“I commute between the East and West Coast to work, and I miss my girls terribly while I’m in Los Angeles. Quarantine has allowed me to spend quality time with my family. That’s the best gift there is.”

As for Kaye’s Emmy nomination, he felt thankful to be honored with it. He also appreciated that executive producer/head writer Bradley Bell reached out to him personally to deliver the news. When asked how he celebrated his nomination, he explained that he celebrates by going to work each day. He also had a message for B&B fans,

“Thank you to the fans for being loyal viewers of The Bold and the Beautiful and for tuning it to watch us every day. We would not be here without them, and we are grateful!”
