The Bold And The Beautiful Spoilers: Torn Between Two Mothers-Finn Must Choose, Li Does Nothing, Will Sheila Die?

The Bold and The Beautiful spoilers and updates tease Dr. John “Finn” Finnegan (Tanner Novlan) is torn between two mothers as Sheila Carter (Kimberlin Brown) flatlines. Finn stands and watches as Li Finnegan (Naomi Matsuda) refuses to defibrillate Sheila and pushes Finn to just let his birth mother die!

The Bold And The Beautiful Spoilers – First, Do No Harm

The Hippocratic oath that every doctor takes begins with “First, do no harm” although there is a lot afterwards, especially in the most modern version. One part says “I will remember that there is art to medicine as well as science, and that warmth, sympathy, and understanding may outweigh the surgeon’s knife or the chemist’s drug.” Another part, “I will remember that I do not treat a fever chart, a cancerous growth, but a sick human being, whose illness may affect the person’s family and economic stability.”

Finn considers all of these things when he’s pushed into a split-second decision; rid his family of the danger of Sheila by letting her die, or not violate his oath. No matter what Sheila did in her life, even against him and Li and Steffy Forrester Finnegan (Jacqueline Macinnes Wood) she’s still a human being.

B & B Spoilers – Torn Between Two Mothers

As he’s in the emergency room section where Li, a nurse, and Sheila lies, with the heart monitor going off and flatlining, the nurse tells Li she’s there to help. Finn watches as Li says let Sheila die, and even the nurse looks horrified and ready to intervene-Li is callous and unfeeling and says why should this monster live? There are two things to consider here-the Hippocratic oath and the nurse in the room; both Finn and Li could lose their medical licenses. Li should have recused herself and found another physician not so close to the case, but Finn is there seeing what’s going on. Steffy, as Bill Spencer, (Don Diamont) Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye) and even Deacon Sharpe (Sean Kanan) thought agreed Sheila was faking but the heart monitor says differently.

The Bold And The Beautiful Spoilers – Will Sheila Carter Die?

The big question here is if Sheila will die, and if so, will it be because no one tried to save her life – that’s not going to happen. Finn can be expected to intervene and grab the paddles, although even in that split second required to grab them she could have lost blood to her brain. That means even if he gets her pulse back, like him and Steffy, she could be in a coma for a while although they were in much worse shape.

Sheila may ultimately die, but if she does Finn will not have it on his conscience, but a rift between he and Li could occur. Finn will likely call his adoptive mother on her decision to let a human being die and do nothing to help-it’s a doctor thing.
