Poor Sally didn’t want anyone to know her fate. She swore Katie to secrecy after Doctor Escobar (Monica Ruiz) relayed the infinitely devastating news about Sally’s still undefined condition.

Considering Sally’s fierce personality and backstory, it’s understandable that a gut reaction would be to keep a lid on this reveal. But Katie knows that Wyatt, of all people in this fictional version of Los Angeles, California, needed to be informed.

While a restored romantic link to Sally isn’t possible, there still is love between ‘Wally’. Those genuine feelings, though different than what Wyatt feels for Flo Fulton (Katrina Bowden), can be helpful to Sally if she lowers her defenses.

It’s an intriguing twist to initially withhold Sally’s actual condition from the audience. While not unprecedented, this technique creates intrigue and possibilities.

Fans will continue tuning in, hoping to learn what’s specifically wrong with Sally. Doctor Escobar’s statement about no remedy being available and asking Hope’s character to get her affairs in order and alert her support system, meaning loved ones, was strongly shocking. So, what would cause such a dire diagnosis?

Along with the above, since Sally’s condition appears to be exotic the potential for radical measures being taken exist. Why not try anything in order to live, as she has nothing to lose? With that, a miracle could happen.

Wyatt thought he was being careful when he met Sally at her Forrester Creations’ office, in what now seems like eons ago. Having broken up with her before, he planned to be direct and tell Sally that he loved Flo.

Brooks’ character followed through on his plan, but Sally rejected what he said. She insisted ‘Wally’ wasn’t ending, which obviously reflected her inability to accept the inevitable.

Now that her life seems to be inevitably ending, Wyatt has to attempt to console Sally, after recently saying that he didn’t care for her as much as he did for his first love, Flo.

Wyatt never considered an outcome like this before, or after he decided that his relationship with Sally was over. But circumstances have drastically changed and must be dealt with while time is still left.
