CBS The Bold and the Beautiful fans were shocked when a different actor appears to play an iconic character. Ronn Moss stepped down from his role as Ridge Forrester. Since he played the character for so long, it was hard to see Brooke and Taylor with another actor.
It was also hard to imagine someone else playing the role of Ridge. He played the role of the character for 25 years. Over time, B&B fans have grown to love Moss’ replacement. But what has Ronn Moss been up to since leaving the daytime soap behind?
CBS The Bold and the Beautiful Update – Why Did Ronn Moss Leave The Show?
Rumors swirled about Moss’s departure. He didn’t like some of the things that went on behind the scenes. Moss still loves that part of his career and would never separate himself from it. So, what happened? Moss revealed the details of his departure in an interview with Australia publication Who.
“People think it was just because of the money, but it wasn’t at all. My wife and I were involved in a horrendous car accident in 2012 – we were hit very hard – and it really changed things. Afterward, I just didn’t know if I could do a show like The Bold and the Beautiful, mainly because I just couldn’t remember s**t after the accident! It sounds funny, but it was true. I got to the point where I couldn’t even remember what I was supposed to say in scenes the next day and I thought, ‘I don’t know if I can continue to do this.'”
B&B Spoilers – Ronn Moss Is A Musician
Nowadays, Moss is a musician. He’s performed with the band Player for years. The band’s song “Baby Come Back” hit number 1 on the Billboard charts in 1978. Moss is still a part of the band. He sings, writes music, and plays instruments, but he either performs solo or with another band called The Men in Black.
In 2019, Moss debuted his own wine brand called Moss Wines. The wines originated from Puglia, Italy, and is available throughout most of Europe. Moss was especially proud of the red wine he created. He took to Facebook to talk about it just months before its release: “Introducing my own amazing Primitivo wine from Puglia soon. I have just shot the preview of it and will share some behind the scenes soon. I’m really in love with this beautiful region and am excited about having my own wine. A limited supply will be available in fine restaurants and online soon.” Ronn Moss is doing just fine after leaving the soap.

I really liked him as Ridge and I do miss him playing that role. I do NOT like Thorsten Kaye at all. Ronn is handsome and a class act. Thorsten always needs a shave, a hair wash and cut. He has not handsome and has no class. I guess there was no one better to hire for the role when Ronn left!!!!
Oh God yes I absolutely loved him as Ridge. He has so much swagger, oh man when he walked into the room, looking as handsome as ever and say Logan or Taylor, man he had a low pitch in his voice that only the woman he was in love could feel when he called to her. Ronn has and air about him that will make you fall in love with him. His fashion designs, they were beautiful designs. The way he would call Brooke, “Logan”? as only he knew how to call her that would make you feel as though you were her. Ronn Moss was the most handsome, Ridge Forrester I have ever seen in my life! The way he acted with Brooke and Taylor they all made you wish you were on the set with them. I have not seen a man play the role of Ridge Forrester since he left that would make you feel special, like you were part of the show. Oh, my he had every girl in my class room wanting to meet him. Of course we never did because we could not afford the trip to LA. We were all crazy, about him, Ronn Moss was the only Ridge for us. Oh, Lord if you could bring him back, Lord that would really make my day, year! We did not know what happen to him, we were so sad when he left. We kept watching B&B waiting for him to reappear, but he never did. Thanks for letting us know what happen to him. I’m sorry about the accident. We really miss him, he is so handsome. He is the only Ridge and always will be in my heart. No offense to Thorsten, but I liked him better on All My Children.
Loved ronn as ridge ,him and taylor was perfect together. They had the perfect family. But that snake brook would not allow them to just be happy.
Let’s just say that no one lit up the room like Ronn. He was very believable as the character Ridge in every way. He is artistic,charismatic, and owned the role for so long, it was hard to embrace anyone else. Ronn seems very happy with his life right now, but if he ever wanted to slip back into the role, fans would see the chemistry that made Ridge and Brooke, and Ridge and Taylor work so well.
