While certain parts of the country are opening back up, California is not one of them. The state was hit hard by COVID-19. This includes Los Angeles, where the CBS soap is filmed. Even if filming were to resume today, there is a lot of work that needs to be done between filming and getting the final product ready to air on TV.

Another Soap Has a Plan

General Hospital reportedly has a plan to get back to filming in summer 2020. That gives us a clue that the other soaps should start to get back to filming around that same time. Soaps across the world are coming up with creative ideas, too.

Neighbours, an Australian soap reportedly plans to play around with camera angles. While the actors continue social distancing, they will appear closer together on TV screens. So, that is another possibility for The Bold and the Beautiful.

The Bold and the Beautiful Spoilers: The Bad News

Now, for the bad news. Even if filming does start back up this summer, there will still be more time-consuming activities that are required before new episodes air on CBS. There is editing, credits, music, and a lot of other work that needs to be done prior to new episodes broadcasting. Taking this into consideration, we might be waiting until late summer or early fall.
