The Bold And The Beautiful Spoilers: Could Sheila Carter Have Given Her Son A Stroke?
Mike Guthrie (Ken Hanes) warned Sheila Carter (Kimberlin Brown) not to use the defibrillator on Finn when he flat lined, not being sure that she had been trained! As a nurse who has not worked as one for many years Mike feared Sheila may not be up on the latest technology. Mike, however may have failed to realize how long defibrillators have been around and that they haven’t changed a whole lot since the late 1960s.
However, there is a possibility that she may have turned the defibrillator up to too many joules (electrical shock strength) in her panic to resuscitate Finn. That quite possibly could have made matters worse and caused a stroke in the speech area of his brain!
B&B Spoilers – Speech Is The Easiest Thing To Fix – He May Just Need Speech Therapy
Fortunately for Finn, speech is the easiest thing to fix after a stroke; his speech is slurred a little bit but there’s really no proof that Sheila caused it. If he had a mini stroke it could have happened for whatever reason he flat lined, and there could possibly have been a short loss of blood to the brain. For that matter, it could be short term aphasia (difficulty with speech) that could have happened for the same reason his coma did, which was from loss of blood. Finn is still able to reason and think, although his movement ability has yet to be diagnosed; Sheila is hampered in that there is no MRI or CAT machine. All Li Finnegan (Naomi Matsuda) was able to get in that home hospital room she set up was basic heart monitors, a screen and the like and that defibrillator.
The Bold And The Beautiful Spoilers – John “Finn” Finnegan’s Aphasia Seems To Be Minor
Finn’s aphasia, however, seems to be minor and he is still able to be understood although he sounds strange; he can be understood and seems to know what he’s saying. There is also the possibility that whatever medication he is on could be causing the aphasia-like speech difficulty if the medication is one for pain. Finn had some very serious injuries, including one to the lumbar portion of the spine according to what Sheila told him, and an injury there could definitely cause major pain!
It is difficult to tell at this point whether Finn will be able to walk or what physical challenges he may have once it is safe for him to move. One question might be how Sheila knows about the spinal injury – is she making it up, or did she access Li’s notes on her computer?
B&B Spoilers – John “Finn” Finnegan Will Recover Fully
However, in a film clip leaked recently from when the BOLD crew was in Monte Carlo it shows that Finn recovers fully. The clip has no dialogue and the back of a cameraman can be seen filming, and in the distance Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye) and Taylor Hayes (Krista Allen) are seen. They are meeting Finn and an unidentified female, possibly a nurse or a law enforcement official meeting on a sidewalk appearing to be in a park. Finn is getting around just fine, and he appears to be animated and talking; the assumption is that they are looking for Steffy Forrester Finnegan (Jacqueline Macinnes Wood). BOLD spoilers for the week of July 18th tease Steffy’s intense grief has forced her into a mental health institution; she took the kids so the woman could be a nanny.
