The Bold and the Beautiful spoilers reveal Thomas Forrester (Matthew Atkinson) allowed Hope Logan (Annika Noelle) to stay as Douglas Forrester’s (Henry Joseph Samiri) adoptive mother. Even after pushing him off the catwalk, he kept the custody arrangement the same. However, could he change his mind if Hope continues rejecting him, especially after she blasted him for his past behavior?

B&B spoilers teased that there would be a custody battle. That happened, but there was very little fighting between Thomas and Hope. Instead, she played nice in order to get the adoption papers signed. Eventually, she succeeded, but it came with a high price tag.

Bold & The Beautiful Spoilers – Playing Dead

As fans recall, Thomas expected something in return and Hope was not going to give it to him. After a chase had her cornered, she pushed him and he fell from the catwalk into a vat down below. The container held hydrofluoric acid, but what wasn’t known at the time was the chemical had already been drained. Thomas was submerged in cleaning solution, not flesh-dissolving acid.

For a whole 24 hours, he allowed Hope to think he was dead. Although she was glad he was alive, Hope worried he would rip up the custody papers. But instead, Thomas said that he loved her so much that he was giving her the greatest gift — his son.

The Bold and the Beautiful spoilers reveal Thomas continued trying to get to Hope’s heart after the near-faux-death experience. This led to the young woman rejecting him once again. Then, she told him exactly how she felt about him and his past behavior. She also sternly told Thomas why she doesn’t want to spend a minute more with him than necessary.

In the latest issue of Soap Opera Digest, Matthew Atkinson discussed the storyline with Zoe Buckingham (Kiara Barnes). The actor explained that at the end of the day, it’s all about giving Douglas a mother. In Thomas’ eyes, Hope is that person. The villain isn’t relentlessly pursuing Hope out of love or lust. Instead, it seems Thomas’ obsession is rooted in giving his son the perfect mom and in his mind, Hope is that person.

With that being said, it doesn’t sound like Thomas is going to take away Douglas’ adoptive mother. Hope and the little boy have bonded and Thomas sees that. To take away the adoption agreement would hurt Douglas too much.
