That development would follow Carter’s appreciation for Zoe and his past concern that she was making a mistake by tying herself to Thomas Forrester (Matthew Atkinson).

Zoe’s failed marriage to Thomas left her literally standing at the altar. Atkinson’s character was convinced that Hope Logan’s (Annika Noelle) appearance in the wedding dress he designed for her meant that Thope was back on. Recent news confirmed that B&B will begin airing new episodes starting on July 20. That day’s show was actually filmed prior to the production shutdown that took place in mid-March. However, it appears as though TPTB decided to hold that episode and one other because of scene sequencing and plans that were being formulated for this soap’s eventual return.

Available episode preview information has Zoe telling Carter what happened with Thomas in recent months. As fans recall, Carter officiated the intended wedding. So, it’s natural that Zoe would talk to him as a follow up to what happened.

Zoe told Thomas that she loved him in front of a crowd of family members and friends who were at the wedding. She wasn’t marrying him for companionship, which was how Thomas saw Zoe.

Thomas told Vincent Walker (Joe Lo Cicero) that he liked Zoe, but that she was his fallback choice. Vinny was not pleased with that reveal, or that Douglas Forrester (Henry Samiri) was once again being manipulated by Thomas.

As viewers recall, Zoe was intrigued by Thomas because he promised her the opportunity to reclaim her career at Forrester Creations. Zoe’s modeling hopes were previously dashed because of the position her father put her into regarding the Beth Spencer (Madeline Valdez and River Davidson) kidnapping and sale.

Zoe genuinely fell in love with Thomas as time passed. She sincerely felt he’d changed, wasn’t a threat, and wanted the best for her.

Moving forward with Carter would allow Zoe to pair with a good guy. She should also directly ask the Forrester’s if she can model for the fashion house again.
