Zoe might be motivated to return to LA and help Xander because she was duped by Thomas in his bid to get Hope back into his orbit. In other words, Zoe has plenty of reasons to help Xander go after Thomas.

Kiara left B&B to star in Fantasy Island which was cancelled, so this would be the perfect time to bring her back to B&B.
