The Bold And The Beautiful – John McCook Seemed Stunned By His Win
This was the fourth time McCook was up for a Daytime Emmy during his long career, and his first win. His acceptance speech was joyful as he just looked so happy to be up there, thanking his wife for her support, as well as the B&B cast and crew.
Before the awards, McCook’s daughter, Molly McCook, posted photos of her happy parents getting ready for the big awards night health at the Pasadena Civic Center in Los Angeles.
“My dad @JohnMcCook44 is nominated for a @DaytimeEmmys. He has played Eric Forrester for my entire life,” she tweeted. “No matter what happens tonight, I truly know how deserving, special, and extraordinary he is. At 78, he STILL works his ass off to give you this beloved role. I LOVE YOU.”
B&B She Then Tweeted About Feeling Like Her Folks Were Going To The Prom.
“Just helped Mom + Dad get ready for @DaytimeEmmys and I couldn’t be more proud. Sent them off in a car like they were going to prom Break a leg tonight, Daddy! @JohnMcCook44 @SpangMc.”
The Bold And The Beautiful – John McCook Won For A Unique Story
Eric’s story was an unexpected one last year on The Bold and the Beautiful when fans learned that Eric was rejecting his wife, Quinn Fuller Forrester (Rena Sofer) because had erectile dysfunction and didn’t want her to know. That led a dejected and rejected Quinn to have an affair, which led Eric to want to divorce her, then take her back, and even offer her up to Carter Walton so Quinn could have what a woman needs.
It was Donna Logan who ‘cured’ Eric and now he is having an affair with her, but is about to be caught this coming week, ending his marriage to Quinn for good. Stay tuned to The Bold and the Beautiful weekdays to see how this story plays out.
