She’s got beauty and she’s got brains! New reports say that The Bold and the Beautiful star Kimberlin Brown Pelzer is advancing in her congressional race in Southern California.
The actress, who plays Sheila on the highly rated CBS soap, is hoping to clinch a spot in her district, as she wants to unseat the current incumbent in California’s 36th District of the House of Representatives.
According to preliminary results, Kimberlin is already poised to advance in November’s midterm election. She received 23 percent of the vote, coming in far above other Republicans, who earned between 4 to 8 percent of the vote.
Just last month Kimberlin even said that she would be willing to make the move to Washington, D.C. to give her new job her all, should she win her face.
According to CBS Soaps in Depth, the daytime television actress said, “What prompted me to get into politics and what prompted me to speak at the convention was seeing the financial and healthcare struggles that our employees were going through every day to survive. With a small business, your employees are really part of your family… I can’t be silent any longer.”
At the same time though, Kimberlin also said that she would be willing to continue filming The Bold and the Beautiful while also representing her district in the House of Representatives. Watch this space as we have a feeling there is much more to come!
