The Bold and the Beautiful Takes A Cop Out Killing Vinny

The Bold and the Beautiful spoilers tease devastation for the LA fashion and publishing scene with a shocking death. Fans have been told for weeks someone will die in a shocking way but we didn’t know who that someone would be.

And now we do. That someone is Vinny (Joe LoCicero), Thomas Forrester’s (Matthew Atkinson) ne’er do well, drug-dealing bestie. So, the shocking death is a recurring character who has no real place on the show and whose death is of little consequence in the overall scheme of things.

The Bold and the Beautiful took quite the cop-out by hyping a story for weeks and then killing off a recurring character in a car accident. Soon, Liam (Scott Clifton) and Bill (Don Diamont) will be involved in a cover-up, which is nothing if not predictable. In fact, this accident reminds us of when Aly Forrester (Ashlyn Pearce) was killed in 2015 and Steffy (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) and Thomas (then-Pierson Fode) covered up the car accident.

Killing a character who was actually involved in storylines and who actually belonged to a major family would have been the most dramatic and consequential way to go. Many thought Flo Fulton (Katrina Bowden) would be killed. While she hasn’t been on the canvas for long, she is a Logan and engaged to Wyatt (Darrin Brooks). That would have had ripple effects. Plus, Flo was finally happy and getting everything she wanted. A perfect time to die, right?

The Bold and The Beautiful Updates – Vinny Will Be Missed

Plus, Vinny was a fun character and will be missed. While his death does nothing but give something for Liam and Bill to do (and possibly Wyatt if they enlist his help), it doesn’t devastate the majority of the characters on the show. The only character who would even remotely care that Vinny died is Thomas and he’d likely get over it soon.

Could there be more to the story? The Bold and the Beautiful spoilers also say that Hope (Annika Noelle) will have to identify a body later this week. Why would Hope have to identify Vinny’s body? Does someone else die? Does Vinny have more of a connection to the canvas than we originally thought and is that connection possibly Hope? Time will tell.
