The Bold and the Beautiful promo for the week of January 6th thru 10th indicate that Liam Spencer’s (Scott Clifton) marriage proposal to Hope Logan (Annika Noelle) will come with an ultimatum.

B&B viewers are familiar with Liam and Hope’s love story. The couple has experienced their share of ups and downs throughout the years.

Most of the drama had to deal with Liam’s waffling between Hope and Steffy Forrester (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood).

Last year, Liam and Hope experienced turmoil when they believed their daughter Beth had died. But in reality she was part of a baby switch by Reese Buckingham (Wayne Brady).

The couple was also kept apart by Thomas Forrester (Matthew Atkinson), who was obsessed with Hope.

After being reunited with their daughter Beth, Liam and Hope got back together. However, Thomas continued to remain in Hope’s life due to his son Douglas Forrester (Henry Joseph Samiri).

The little boy that Hope loves so much is the reason for the Liam and Hope’s upcoming drama.

B&B Spoilers – Liam Spencer’s proposal and ultimatum

This week Liam decides to take the next step in his relationship with Hope when he proposes to her.

However, before they can walk down the aisle, Liam has a request for Hope.

He wants her to give up custody of Douglas.

When Hope was briefly married to Thomas, she formed a bond with Douglas and considers herself a second mother to the boy.

After she and Thomas split, Hope wanted to remain in Douglas’ life. She fought Thomas for custody, even though Liam was against the idea. He tried to persuade Hope to let it go, and just let Thomas raise Douglas, but she was determined in her quest to get the boy.

Eventually, Thomas and Hope agreed to shared custody, with Douglas living with her and Liam part-time.

Now, Douglas may no longer be part of Hope’s life. Liam’s ultimatum is that in order for him and Hope to marry, she has to give up Douglas.

Bold & The Beautiful Spoilers – Hope Logan and Thomas Forrester’ reactions

Hope and Thomas are going to be stunned by Liam’s ultimatum.

An angry Thomas confronts Liam over his ultimatum and reminds him how much Douglas needs Hope in his life. Before long the two men are getting into a shoving match.

As for Hope, in the clip, she’s seen in tears as she begs Liam not to do this to her. Liam loves Hope, but they can’t have a future with Thomas still in their lives. In order to remove him from their lives, Hope needs to let go of Douglas.

With Hope unable to let Douglas go, Liam reaches his breaking point and walks out.

So will this be the end of Hope and Liam?
