British Royal News suggests that Camilla Parker-Bowles never wanted to be the Princess of Wales, nor did she ever want to have a serious relationship with Prince Charles. In fact, there’s a new royal biographer that suggests all Camilla wanted to do was have fun as Charles’ mistress without having any strings attached in their relationship. For many long years Camilla was known as ‘the mistress’ in Prince Charles and Princess Diana’s marriage. Even though they had their fair share of problems, Camilla has long been blamed by royal fans for breaking up Charles and Diana. And now royal biographer Christopher Wilson suggests that Camilla never really wanted to have an official relationship with Charles, but rather just wanted to have some “fun on the side” with him. In other words, she was quite content with being the mistress and nothing else.

According to New Idea, Wilson puts it this way, “Camilla saw life as Charles’ mistress as a bit of fun and a thing that would never be made public, and would continue for as long as she was sexually active. I don’t think there was ever any ambition on her part to advance herself to become the wife of the Prince of Wales.”

Prince Charles and Princess Diana ended up pulling the plug on their marriage back in the early nineties and Charles went on to marry Camilla Parker-Bowles in 2005. Even though there are fans out there who still believe that Camilla will never take Diana’s place, the Duchess of Cornwall has enjoyed a surge in popularity over the years.
