Coronation Street Billy Mayhew Regrets Not Listening To Paul Foreman

“Coronation Street” schemer Todd Grimshaw has finally reached the end of his luck causing his partner Billy Mayhew to regret his decisions in love.

Wednesday’s installment started with Billy (Daniel Brocklebank) preparing for their wedding that is only five weeks away.

But Billy’s excitement turned to disappointment after witnessing how the love of his life desperately went to dangerous lengths just to have him by his side.

Todd’s lies were leaked when his accomplice Will (Ben Hackett) learned from Summer (Harriet Bibby) that Todd gave Billy a sum of £1,000. Learning that he had been ripped off by Todd, Will sent the damning video to Paul (Peter Ash) and the latter exchanged his laptop during the calendar launching at the Victoria Gardens.

Billy and the public saw Todd confessing for all his sins while cheerfully narrating how he broke Paul and Billy’s relationship by using Will. He also mentioned the expensive heat pump he had stolen while letting the residents point their fingers at Paul.

Summer found Billy regretting. Billy then finally admitted he should have trusted Paul when his ex warned him about Todd’s wiles when they were still living under the same roof.

Now that Paul has proven he was right about Todd all along and the vicar had realized he lost the real deal in Paul, the two will more likely reflect on giving their relationship another chance.

Although Todd’s comeuppance was a glorious moment for Paul, Peter revealed his character wasn’t fully joyful, knowing that the incident broke Billy.

“I think Paul just wants to be justified now in his belief that it was Todd who orchestrated his downfall,” he revealed.

Coronation Street – Paul Foreman Still In Love

It’s because after all, Paul still loves Billy, and actor Peter Ash confirmed it in his previous interview with the media.

But when asked if Paul wants Billy back: “I think he does because he still loves him, but after the reveal, there’s a moment where Paul does think: ‘Hang on, I’m glad the truth is out but you never believed me’. The trust has been damaged, it’s a case of too little, too late,” Peter teased.

Peter also admitted he’d rather want a new love interest for his Paul, rather than going back to Billy’s arms.

“But who knows in soap? I’m just looking forward to seeing what’s next for Paul.”
