Coronation Street Brings Back Surprise Character In Max Turner’s Storyline

Coronation Street spoilers, news, and updates tease that a character will make a surprise return as part of Max Turner’s (Paddy Beaver) ongoing storyline. Cait Fitton is reportedly filming scenes for her return to the Cobbles as Lauren Bolton.

Fans know that Max is doing time in a Secure Training Center after he got involved in an extremist gang that planned the botched bombing at the Cobbles. Lauren made her first appearance in late 2022 and left a few months ago.

He met Lauren back when he was still with the gang. She was the daughter of one of the gang members. They grew closer together and eventually had a romantic relationship. The gang storyline may be over but it seems like Lauren still has some business to do at the cobbles.

The Sun reported that Fitton is set to reprise her role in July and the actress is currently filming scenes for her alter ego. What storyline will she be part of?

Coronation Street Spoilers – Max’s Struggles With Feelings Of Guilt

Recent scenes showed David Platt’s (Jack P. Shepherd) efforts to reach out to Max when visiting him at the STC. He learned that Max has emotional struggles and he’s trying to encourage him to open up and admit his feelings.

“Their relationship is quite strained because Max feels like David does so much for him and he constantly feels like he is letting him down, so he really struggles with that,” Bever said.

“Max feels like he is constantly making mistakes then apologizing, then making mistakes then apologizing and he feels like he has gone too far with things,” he added.

“Max can’t forgive himself, so he can’t see David forgiving him either, even though he does forgive him. But there will be a point where Max is forced to express his feelings to David,” he explained.

How will Lauren’s return affect Max? Will she help him learn to forgive himself? Or will he lead him to a darker path?

Aside from Fitton, other actors are set to appear at the cobbles too. For starters, Brookside alum Claire Sweeny joins the cast as Cassie Plummer. Former Hollyoaks and Celebrity Big Brother star Stephanie Davis, as well as The Archers star Ryan Early, are joining the cast as well.
