Coronation Street spoilers, news, and updates tease that there will be another shocking incident involving Max Turner (Paddy Beaver). He may face criminal charges for inciting murder and encouraging terrorism because of his videos. Will he go to prison this time?
The soap confirmed that Max would find himself involved in another worrying incident. Earlier this month, Weatherfield residents were thrown into chaos when an extremist faction led by Griff Reynolds (Michael Condron) made an ill-fated attempt to detonate explosives at the community’s Peace Market.
Thankfully, Max – who had been involved with them for weeks leading up to the failed bombing incident – recognized their true intentions and raised the alarm in time.
Griff was sent to prison, and now that he’s in jail, some may think that his influence on his group will lessen. However, someone else will continue his work. Not only that, Max will be implicated in another sinister plan. Max’s world just got a lot more complex as his former bully, Blake, is unleashing an even darker plot.
Blake Targets Mariah
Councillor Maria Connor (Samia Longchambon) is continuing her mission of inclusivity and compassion by actively engaging refugees at a drop-in session held at Speed Daal. Her proactive stance stands against the recent spread of hatred from Griff’s extremist group.
Daryan Zahawi (Twana Omer) gives out flyers to invite people to join the event. He extends an invitation to Max. When the latter returns home, he watches Blake’s racist rant online. He promises to stop Mariah’s drop-in session once and for all. Blake continues to film himself as he secretly enters Speed Daal. It’s clear to the viewers that his primary target is Mariah.
Maria gives her speech and promises to continue giving support to refugees. Will Max warn Maria or someone about the imminent attack? The soap continues to remain mum as to what will happen next, but it’s clear that Max will find himself in a difficult situation once again.
Blake Blames Max
The police will question Blake, and the latter will pin the blame for his actions on Max’s videos. David Platt (Jack P Shepherd) will worry about the implication that Max’s videos inspired Blake to go on a stabbing spree. He calls Adam Barlow (Sam Robertson) and makes him watch Max’s horrific videos. He’s concerned that Max can be charged with a 10-year sentence for encouraging terrorism. Shortly after, DS Swain (Vicky Myers) arrives to arrest Max. What will happen next?
