Coronation Street Millie Gibson Shares Her Character’s Storyline As Her On-Screen Mom Returns

‘Coronation Street’: Millie Gibson“Coronation Street” star Millie Gibson has talked about her character’s future storyline as Kelly Neelan will face another challenge with the return of her on-screen mom, Laura Neelan.

In the past episodes of the ITV soap, Laura (Kel Allen) left Kelly during her fight against the murder case for Seb Franklin (Harry Visinoni), which led the youngster to pay for the mistake she didn’t commit. Asked about her on-screen mom’s return, Gibson shut herself and hinted that it will be full of betrayal and heartaches.

As documented by Metro.co.uk, Millie Gibson shared another trouble for her character: “Next year for Kelly, she is reunited with the unfortunate face of her mum. I’m nervous for Kelly, this is never good news.”

Though their on-screen relationship is not ideal, Gibson mentioned she loves working with Kel Allen and that they were treating each other like a real mother and daughter relationship, “We both have that sarcastic, blonde, bitchy go towards each other.”

The 17-year-old actress also shared her love for Kelly Neelan and how she likes to play her on the soap. She likes Kelly being that “typical teenage girl” and that “bolshy personality” she possesses, especially when she goes against Laura Neelan in the upcoming episodes.

“Coronation Street” has revealed more trouble for Kelly Neelan in tonight’s (December 27) episode, which led Dev Alahan to order the youngster to look for somewhere else to stay.

It all started when Abi Franklin (Sally Carman) continuously put Kelly’s life in misery that she always tried to get revenge for murdering her son, Seb Franklin. Because of what happened, Kelly did not show up to work telling Maria Connor (Samia Longchambon) that she was feeling under the weather, which led the latter to check for the teenager’s condition. After realizing the lies, Maria fired Kelly.

Not feeling great about losing her job, Kelly called Jacob Hay (Jack James Ryan) and tried to purchase drugs, which the latter immediately refused. Kelly sarcastically told the man that her “life is great right now.”

Willing to take some drugs, Kelly smoked weed that made her pass out in the street, which led Craig Tinker (Colson Smith) to send Kelly to the police station. When the teenage girl returned home, Dev Alahan was upset when he learned about the use of drugs.

Kelly explained herself saying that she “just wanted oblivion” and apologized to Dev about what she had done, but despite convincing the man and vowing to attend rehab, Dev decided to make Kelly go: “In the morning, I’m sorry, you’ll have to leave.”
