Coronation Street spoilers, news, and updates tease that Hope Stape (Isabella Flanagan) soon ends her villainous storyline and starts a calmer character.
In the previous episode of the longest-running soap, Hope was seen as a bad one since she caused trouble in their school. It all started when she knew about the murder story of her late father, John Stape. Fiz and Tyrone (Alan Halsall) were called out in the principal’s office when their daughter grabbed a hammer and reenact John’s murder of Charlotte Hoyle, leading her to be suspended for a week.
During the spooky season, Hope alongside Sam and Joseph tried to do some ghostly activity to connect to her dad. As her obsession over John’s story got worse, Fiz and Tyrone decided to visit a pet store and gave Hope a little buddy – Cilla, the chinchilla. However, their happy days didn’t last long when Cilla was found dead on the carpet because of Beth Sutherland’s dog, Peanut.
Coronation Street Spoilers- Iain MacLeod Prepares New Storyline for Hope Stape
Following the death of her rodent friend, Hope planned an act of revenge, but she was unable to accomplish her plans as Beth confronted her. In the upcoming scenes of “Coronation Street,” the producer vowed to give Hope a new storyline and leave her troubled days. “She’s certainly not going to continue going down such a troubled path, in the short to medium to long-term,” MacLeod told Loose Women.
He hinted that the character would go into transition, showing some normal scenarios that happen to a pre-teenager. Moreover, MacLeod revealed a teen romance between Hope and Sam: “We’re going to be building a friendship with her and Sam Blakeman that will verge on a very innocent pre-teen romance a little bit and they try to navigate those waters.”
Coronation Street Spoilers – Producer Wants Isabella Flanagan To Stay In The Soap
As Hope gives a different personality from the teens, the story will still be twisted but the audience will “see a more down-to-earth grounded side” of the character. Iain MacLeod also stated that the production doesn’t want to give Hope a more stressful storyline as they don’t want Isabella Flanagan to experience burnout with her job.
“I just think there’s a risk with any character that’s that brilliant – and Isabella Flanagan is such a good actress as well – that you burn them out by having them doing too much big crazy stuff in a run. If we’re lucky, God willing, we’ll have her for years and years,” MacLeod stated.
