Coronation Street spoilers and teasers reveal that Todd Grimshaw’s plans backfire as lover Billy Mayhew suffers over his shocker betrayal.

Recent episodes see Todd (Gareth Pierce) haunted by his past as the teenager Will, who he hired to wreak havoc in Billy (Daniel Brocklebank) and Paul Foreman’s (Peter Ash) relationship, blackmailed him for £5,000 in exchange for his silence.

On July 12’s episode, Billy announced that the church granted him permission to install a heat pump in the halfway house.

Will, learning that the pump likely costs around £7,000, cornered Todd to steal it. The teenager even suggested Todd can reveal Will is the culprit behind as long as he can get the cash on hand.

‘Coronation Street’ Spoilers – This Week On The Soap

Happening this week in the ITV soap, Todd surprisingly betrays Billy by stealing the expensive heat pump.

However, Corrie viewers still have to wait until next week to see Todd gets his comeuppance.

It starts with Ed Bailey (Trevor Michael Georges) informing Billy his insurance will not suffice for the price of the stolen pump. Billy, blaming himself for what happened, meets with the bishop to inform him he’s resigning as archdeacon.

When Todd learns about Billy’s decision, he’s consumed by his guilt. Will Todd confess his sins instead?

Corrie boss Iain Macleod has revealed that Todd will get his comeuppance soon as he temporarily gets everything he wants.

“In a very explosive, dramatic – again quite thriller-ish – way later in the year, Todd’s machinations will all come to light and he’ll end up losing everything again,” Macleod told the media.

‘Coronation Street’ Spoilers – Actor Daniel Brocklebank Reveals Billy Would Have To Forgive Todd

In a recent interview with Digital Spy, actor Daniel Brocklebank has reacted to Todd’s downfall, revealing that his character would have to find ways to forgive schemer Todd.

“Billy’s so shit, isn’t he? He always tries to do the right thing and never really quite manages it. He always messes it up somewhere,” Daniel said.

The actor believes Billy would try to forgive him as part of his character’s job about forgiveness. He revealed that Billy would do it for the sake of a stable co-parenting for summer and for his peace of mind.

“It’s easier said than done when you’ve had your heart broken, but I think for Summer’s sake, Billy would probably – at least on the surface – try to find a middle ground …” he explained.

“So I’m sure somewhere, somehow, even if it’s through a bottle of whisky, Billy would find his way to forgiving but maybe not forgetting,” he added.
