Coronation Street spoilers, news, and updates tease that Gemma Winters (Dolly-Rose Campbell) wants to embark on a new career plan. She decides to launch a childminding service. However, she faces some setbacks even before she could begin.
Gemma is ready to embark on a new journey and pursue her passion for caring for children. In upcoming scenes, she decides to start her childminding services. She feels confident that she can offer this service given that she’s got a bit of experience from watching over Michael Bailey’s (Ryan Russell) daughter, Glory (Eleanor Beckles).
Gemma Gets Potential First Client
In 2020, Gemma’s son Aled was diagnosed with hearing loss. She plans to provide a childminding service that can cater to children with similar conditions as her son. As she plans to put up a BSL-friendly service, she happily tells Chesney Brown (Sam Aston) that she may have her first client, a woman with two children, one of whom had similar needs as Aled.
Gemma’s potential client drops by at Number 5 to check the place. She gives her a tour, but it eventually becomes obvious that the woman isn’t pleased with what she has. She turns down Gemma’s service because of her lack of experience in childcare, leaving her extremely disappointed.
She meets up with Chesney at the kebab shop, where she shares her frustration. She tells him about her failed deal with her potential first client. She’s having second thoughts about pursuing her plan because she’s not qualified.
Not only that, she’s turning down Michael’s request for her to watch over Glory since doing so is not legal. But Michael still wants to continue and just make sure that nobody finds out.
Gemma gets another potential client after Michael recommends her to Daniel Osbourne (Rob Mallard), who is looking for a new childminder. Gemma wants to set things straight that she’s not a certified childminder, but she’s willing to help out. Is she risking her plans of becoming a childminder? Or will this help her push through with her new career path?
