Coronation Street spoilers and updates tease that Aaron Stafford (James Craven) now knows about Summer Spellman’s (Harriet Bibby) secret. What will he do after he learns that Summer has been skipping her meds and cheating on her blood tests?

Summer and Aaron were supposed to go on a holiday after their A-levels. But they never got out of Weatherfield. Summer fainted when Aaron went to her place to pick her up for their trip. Summer eventually woke up and told Aaron that he had forgotten to take her insulin. But because of what happened, the pair missed their flight and will no longer be going on their planned holiday.

On their way home, Aaron went through Summer’s bag and found two finger prick glucose meters. He discovered that Summer had been skipping her insulin shots and she’s been cheating on her blood tests.

Aaron immediately confronted Summer right away and told her that she was playing a dangerous game with her health. When they arrived home, she tried to keep up with her lies and insisted that she just accidentally messed up her insulin dosage. But Aaron knew that she was lying.

Billy (Daniel Brocklebank) learned that Summer missed her flight because of her problem with diabetes. However, she didn’t tell him the truth about her risky habit. Tensions rose when Billy suggested that they should get Summer a permanent insulin monitor. He tried to smooth things over with her by taking her to dinner at the Bistro.

When they arrived at the Bistro, Summer made a shocking proposal to Aaron in a bid to keep her secret safe. She told him that she won’t tell anyone that his dad abused him if he keeps quiet about her insulin doses.

She’s not only putting her life at risk but she’s pulling Aaron into her scheme. She’s putting his life in jeopardy. Not only that, she’s well aware of what Aaron is going through at home but she’s not doing anything to help her. Instead, she’s backing him into a corner so he won’t spill her secret.

As Summer goes to the hospital for an appointment about her diabetes, the nurse suggests that she gets a permanent glucose monitor. Aaron insists that she should get one but she believes otherwise.

When they get home, Summer lies to Billy and says that she didn’t qualify for a glucose monitor, which surprises Aaron since he knows that she’s lying. The latter then tells Billy to call the hospital to check if Summer was telling the truth. How will Summer react when she finds out that Aaron went behind his back?
