Coronation Street Spoilers: Adam Barlow Fears Losing Sight After Deadly Row With Lydia

“Coronation Street” spoilers have revealed that Adam Barlow might get blind after his deadly fall when his loony ex, Lydia Chamber pushed him off the railings during their intense showdown.

Adam (Sam Robertson) is a lonely man in Weatherfield after his wife Sarah (Tina O’Brien) shut her door to him. Sinister Lydia (Rebecca Ryan) deceived the residents with Adam’s infidelity issues and presented false evidence such as fraudulent bank account statements and death threats to amplify her claims that she and Adam are having an affair.

Next week in the ITV soap, Adam sees a light at the end of the tunnel when his estranged wife Sarah invites him for her son Harry’s birthday. Adam believes things will get better from then on but his world is turned upside down when Sarah isn’t there to fix their marriage, rather she drops the news that she has filed for a divorce.

‘Coronation Street’ Spoilers – Adam Barlow Arranges Meeting

Frustrated at how devastating things are turning for him, Adam arranges a meeting with Lydia using Sarah’s phone while she’s distracted. But their encounter turns deadly as Lydia discovers what Adam is up to.

According to Corrie spoilers, Adam records their encounter at the coffee shop but when she perceives what he’s doing, he snatches his phone. After exchanging heated words, Lydia gets offended and slaps Adam before giving him a mighty push.

The solicitor topples backward over the railings and falls on the ground floor, bloodied and looking lifeless. Spoilers revealed that he will survive the deadly fall but will he get blind forever?

While Adam is fighting for his life at the hospital, Daniel learns from the doctor that the solicitor might lose his sight because there’s bleeding behind his eye which can only be stopped with an operation.

Peter (Chris Gascoyne) informs Sarah of the danger Adam is in but she gives him cold shoulders, saying he’s not her problem anymore.

Sarah’s Coronation Street portrayer Tina O’Brien explained why her character reacts that way although she’s genuinely worried for him.

“That sounds quite heartless, but at the same time I think with everything she’s been through, it’s not her place to visit him in hospital. She feels that what’s gone on is between him and Lydia and she doesn’t want to get involved,” she told Digital Spy.

Tina revealed that Sarah still loves Adam but feels so badly betrayed that she doesn’t think she can still forgive him. With Adam’s worrying situation, will this open the door for them to reconcile?
