Nina Lucas (Mollie Gallagher) made a shocking move on Monday’s (September 1) episode by giving her statement against evil child Corey Brent (Maximus Evans) as Seb’s (Harry Visinoni) actual killer. Fans were impressed to see Nina stand in court dressed in her goth attire to fight back against her bullies.

Fully remembering the details of the event, she was unstoppable to drag Corey down. However, Corey’s barrister Sabeen Habeeb (Zora Bishop) seized the opportunity to question Nina’s credibility by presenting her graphic novel as evidence that her memory was dubious.

Coronation Street – Viewers Left Gutted

Viewers were left gutted at how the trial turned when it was Nina’s ex, Asha Alahan’s (Tanisha Gorey) turn to speak in the witness box. Asha revealed she was one of Corey’s bullying victims as the latter threatened her into lying to the police to protect him.

But Sabeen broached the fact that Asha confided in Nina when she and Corey broke up and confronted her outright if she still has feelings for Nina, to which she confessed yes.

It immediately backfired on Asha as Sabeen suggested she’s lying in court to support Nina while Imran Habeeb (Charlie de Melo) implied that she might have been the main reason Corey “got in the way” out of jealousy to Nina and killed Seb instead.

“It is possible this has nothing to do with my client, but rather Corey targeted Nina because of you?” Imran told Asha, and while she was reduced to tears, Imran concluded “No more questions, your honour.”

Imran Hints At Proving Corey’s Guilt – Will He Succeed?

Asha’s dad Dev Alahan (Jimmi Harkishin) wasn’t impressed with how Imran pointed the fault to Asha. When he saw the lawyer with girlfriend Toyah Battersby (Georgia Taylor) in the street, a furious Dev confronted him.

Imran justified he’s only doing what he had to, and that he hated every second of going hard on Asha and pointed out their difference that at the end of that, Asha gets to go home while Kelly (Millie Gibson) can’t.

Dev didn’t buy his reasons and instead called him a bully, which led the lawyer to give a hint about what he’s up to.

“Come by court tomorrow. Because what I did to Asha today is nothing compared to what I’m going to do to Corey,” Imran teased.

Corrie has confirmed that the show will seal Kelly and Corey’s fate next Friday (September 10), so does this mean Imran will win this fight?

Meanwhile, actress Mollie Gallagher posted a behind-the-scenes photo during Nina’s flashback scene with co-actors Harry Visinoni and Mollie as a pair and Millie Gibson with Maximus Evans with their arms around each other.

Mollie’s caption reads: “Thank you all so much for all the lovely comments on Mondays and tonight (September 3) episodes.”

“Forever honoured to be part of this storyline.”
