Just months after fans saw her deal with illegal skin bleaching products, she will face another stressful plot. After performing a racy striptease for her new boyfriend, the tape ends up online. It will destroy her life as everyone ends up finding out, including her own father.

New Boyfriend’s Creepy Request

Corrie spoilers reveal that Asha’s new boyfriend, Corey, will encourage her to do a racy striptease for him. Wanting to impress him, she reluctantly agrees and he videotapes the entire thing. This should already raise red flags, but fans need to remember that Asha suffers from extremely low self-esteem. This is what got her involved in acquiring skin lightening products, despite them being illegal.

It is only later that Asha will realize that she made a horrible mistake. Somehow, the video of her striptease will end up on the Internet. Of course, the person responsible must be her “boyfriend.” Who else would have allowed it to go online?

Teen Internet Scandal

Coronation Street spoilers reveal that it destroys the 16-year-old’s life. Gory talked to The Mirror about the storyline,

“It completely crumbles her, destroys her ­reputation, everything, people in the Street have seen her strip… Everyone has seen it and is talking about it… [At school] they are watching the video and they see me with my clothes off. So it is very personal.”

Coronation Street Spoilers: Father Reacts

David Platt (Jack P. Shepherd) ends up seeing the video and informs Asha’s father, Dev Alahan (Jimmi Harkishin) about the tape that is going viral. Of course, Dev is mortified and begins screaming.

However, similar to the skin bleaching storyline, he will eventually realize that it’s the wrong reaction. He begins to see how profoundly the scandal is affecting Asha. When that happens, then the father will go into protector mode.

This storyline was originally supposed to air next month, but due to halted production and broadcasting reductions, we could be waiting quite a few months to see Asha’s new story.

What do you think is going to end up happening? Could there be legal repercussions for Asha’s boyfriend for uploading the clip to the Internet, considering she is underage? How will Dev handle his daughter’s latest crisis? Fans will have to keep watching to see how this story ends.
