Gemma has been trying to help be the best mother that she can be and handle things on her own. However, this has been taking a toll on her health and wellbeing, which has been seen by the viewers lately. As viewers have seen her become tired and worn out from taking care of her children with little help. Soon, this will begin to hurt her even more, and her mother, Bernie Winter (Jane Hazelgrove), will start to notice this.

She will come over and will try to lend a hand to her. However, Gemma will be too worried about her children to do anything, including sleep. This will concern Bernie, who will want to do something to stop Gemma from being stressed. During that time, Gemma will introduce Bernie to her new friends from the mom-baby groups she has been going attending.

Coronation Street Spoilers- Gemma Admits She Needs Help

As viewers know, these two mothers have been poking fun at Gemma behind her back. When the two are asked to make plans later with them, they lied and told her that they busy. Bernie realized that they were throwing a party and did not want to invite Gemma. This will make her call them out Bernie will again try to plead with Gemma to accept her help but will be unsuccessful in doing so.

Afterward, the two mothers will apologize to her and invite her out. However, while out, she will overhear the two women talking bad about her. This will make her upset, and she will storm off with her kids. As a drunk and emotional Gemma began to cross the street, she will not notice the car that is coming, which will nearly cause her children to be killed. She will later come clean about how much she has been neglecting herself going as far as saying that she had not been sleeping for weeks.
