Coronation Street Spoilers: Carla And Peter Barlow Praised For Tearjerker Scenes

Coronation Street spoilers and updates reveal one of the most popular couples Carla Connor (Alison King) and Peter Barlow (Chris Gascoyne) is praised for jerking their fans’ tears in a heartbreaking episode at the hospital.

The ITV’s soap episode on Monday shows Carla answers a phone call from the transplant center and receiving the news that Peter needs to go to the hospital as soon as possible because they found him a match. But her joy is overcome with fear, as she cannot find Peter.

Fortunately, Peter is located and is rushed to the hospital. Peter reveals his plans to get his surgery scar tattooed, to which Carla feels proud. But will Peter survive the operation?

Carla is forced to say goodbye to Peter as he’s being wheeled away to get ready for the surgery.

The two exchanged heartbreaking lines as Carla reminds him, “I’m right here, you know.”

Peter assures her he knows and puts his hand on his heart, “Always here. Even when you’re not,” he added.

Although the Carter fans are feeling heartbroken with the latest scenes, it did not stop them from praising the couple on social media.

“This was acting at its most sublime! Exceptional. Well done to the two actors. We should be rightly proud of the standard of acting here in the UK,“ said an avid fan.

Coronation Street Spoilers – Moving Forward To An Ultimate Happy Ending?

Earlier this year, Corrie producer Iain MacLeod confirmed tragic scenes are set for Carla and Peter this year.

This couple had their fair share of trouble in the Cobbles as Peter hit an all-time low on his health and Carla was confronted for her one-night stand with Peter’s nephew Adam (Sam Robertson) and MacLeod explained it was to see both characters “make terrible mistakes.”

“They will always remain in love … I hope that fans will, by the end of it, feel that it’s been the ultimate love story.”

“It will ultimately have a happy ending even though it sometimes looks like it’s a long way away for those two,” MacLeod told the Digital Spy.
