‘Coronation Street’ Spoilers: Carla Connor Feud With Sarah Platt Continues

“Coronation Street” spoilers confirm Carla Connor takes charge of Underworld but Sarah Platt is against her management.

This week in the ITV soap, Carla (Alison King) causes big changes in the factory as she’s welcomed by a difficult situation when Izzy Armstrong (Cherylee Houston), who has been shielding from home since the onset of the pandemic, sends substandard outputs.

As part of the shielding program, the factory previously supplied her with a factory machine to continue working from home, but Izzy’s performance declines.

Carla has given her an ultimatum of improving her work or returning to the factory or else Izzy will be sacked out.

But when Izzy talks to her and opens about her real challenges of struggling with chronic pain while working from home, Carla makes a generous decision of retaining Izzy and extending her deadlines.

But the truth is, everyone else in the Underworld will have to sacrifice working double time in order to make amends for what was lost because the clients didn’t actually extend their deadlines, and Sarah isn’t happy with this.

Sally Metcalfe (Sally Dynevor) also confronts Carla that the factory workers will get sick of these changes sooner and might end up turning on Izzy.

“Yeah, well then they’ll have me to answer to. No man or woman left behind, that’s my motto,” Carla warns.

The tension between Carla and Sarah intensified when Nick announced last week that Carla is the new factory owner just moments away before Sarah can take that place.

The last time Nick Tilsley disclosed his decision of selling his share at the factory didn’t end up well as it caused their family to fall apart leading her mother Gail Platt (Helen Worth) to exchange Weatherfield over Thailand.

After Sarah’s numerous attempts at convincing her brother to reflect on his decision, she gave up and confided with Adam (Sam Robertson) about her wishes to buy Nick’s shares, but she doesn’t have the money to buy them.

Adam offered to invest in the factory so Sarah can take charge of the Underworld and both exchanged ideas for the business.

But the odds were against Sarah and Adam when Sarah returned at the factory only to join Sally, Kirk (Andy Whyment), and the returning character Beth (Lisa George) all outside to welcome the newest owner, Carla.
