Coronation Street Spoilers: Chesney Devastated As Joseph Leaves Town With Grandmother

Coronation Street spoilers have revealed another trouble for dad Chesney Brown which will force him to let go of his son Joseph as his grandmother Linda gets the child to live abroad with her after his disappearance incident.

Life hasn’t been easy for Chesney (Sam Aston) with his partner Gemma Winter (Dolly-Rose Campbell) having difficulties in feeding their quadruplets due to poverty. Since they can’t afford the family’s needs including Joseph’s (William Flanagan) requirements at school, the child became a subject to bullying.

This resulted in Joseph running away from his family after his dad betrayed him by reporting the incident to the school. Although Joseph returned home safely, his family is yet to face more turmoil as the authorities will take his dad Chesney and gran Bernie (Jane Hazlegrove) for questioning.

Coronation Street Spoilers – Bad News

It seems like this bad news will reach abroad as Joseph’s gran Linda (Jacqueline Leonard) will take the child away from his starving family. Linda exchanged the cobbles to Portugal when her relationship with Callum Logan (Sean Ward) ended, and now that her grandson experienced a traumatic event, she’s ready to rescue him and take him there.

The Daily Star published snaps of the upcoming scenes with Chesney breaking down at Manchester Airport while hugging Joseph. Linda is seen standing next to them while holding her pink suitcase. In the pictures, Chesney didn’t show any clue that he’s resisting Linda’s decision. An insider told the Star fans might want to stock up on tissues for these pictures suggest “all is not well.” Does it mean Chesney agrees that Joseph will have a better life abroad?

‘Coronation Street’ Spoilers – A Threat To Number Five’s Stability

Corrie boss Iain MacLeod has previously hinted that Joseph’s disappearance story will lead into another story that will “reintroduce” a character connected to their family. “Which will provide yet another threat to the stability of the residents of number five,” he teased. Could it be Linda?

Linda is the mother of Chesney’s late wife Katy Armstrong (Georgia Foote) and Joseph’s late mother and this will not be the first time she has taken Joseph away. In 2015 Chesney agreed to let Joseph live with her as long as they continue to communicate over the phone but Linda returned the child in 2017 following Katy’s death, believing that it would be best for him to live with a parent.

However, Joseph had experienced the difficulties of life at such a young age for the last five years due to Chesney’s financial status. Did Linda regret her decision? Will she take away the child forever from his family this time?
