Coronation Street Spoilers: Corrie Set To Explore Aggie Bailey’s Backstory In Upcoming Weeks

Fans welcomed the Bailey Family when they were introduced on “Coronation Street.” Viewers will get to know more about them particularly, Aggie Bailey (Lorna Laidlaw) as the show delves on her backstory in the upcoming weeks.

Viewers may recall that Aggie stepped in during the chaos of Christmas Day and tried to help Robert Preston (Tristan Gemmill) after he got shot by Derek Milligan (Craige Els). Despite being a former nurse but was still unable to save his life.

Her son James Bailey (Nathan Graham) will be inspired by her bravery and he will recommend her for an award. A Weatherfield Gazette reporter will cover the story and learn that Aggie isn’t eager to share her past as a nurse. She’s reluctant at first but she’ll eventually open up to Roy Cropper (David Neilson). It will be revealed that a former patient of her has died. It wasn’t her fault but she lost her confidence in her abilities and caused her to step away from the profession she loves.

Later on, Aggie will encourage David not to lose hope for Shona. She’ll ask him to stay positive and let her know that the doctors are doing everything they can to save her life.

Michelle’s Exit

Robert, the former Bistro boss, was one of the casualties when Derek went amok at the pub. He was standing outside The Rovers when Derek fired a test shot. Unfortunately, he caught the bullet that was only meant to scare everyone.

Before his death, Robert shared some final moments with Michelle Connor (Kym Marsh). Robert’s passing and the accidentally selling the bistro to Ray Crosby (Mark Frost) will be too much for her, which will pave the way for her exit.

Maria Thinks Gary Is A Hero

Gary Windass (Mikey North) will be praised for his heroism but it won’t last for long. Other residents of the cobbles will turn against him and blame him for bringing trouble on Christmas Day. However, Maria thinks he is a hero and believes everyone should bow down to him. She’ll be completely oblivious and fail to understand why others are being nasty towards Gary.

Shona Leaves Corrie Temporarily

Shona Ramsey (Julia Goulding) was shot while she was hiding in a box at the Winter Wonderland when Derek went on a rampage. Goulding went on maternity leave a few months ago and that means fans already know she’s leaving the show temporarily. The shooting at The Rovers will help explain Shona’s extended absence in the coming months.
