Coronation Street spoilers reveal Daniel Osbourne (Rob Mallard) ends up making a move on Bethany Platt (Lucy Fallon). He leans in and kisses her while they are sitting on the couch, then promptly rejects her. It is a complicated and sad storyline for everyone involved. Corrie spoilers indicate that for a long time, Bethany has had a major crush on Daniel. However, she didn’t pursue it because he was with Sinead Osbourne (formerly Katie McGlynn). The woman ended up tragically dying after dealing with ovarian cancer. However, those feelings would resurface right before Sinead died and because they were caught, it created a lot of conflicts which he just got through.

Both Daniel and Bethany dealt with their guilt over the pre-death kiss. Sinead did find out about it and forgave them. Then in one final selfless act, she gave them permission to be together after she died. It was an emotional scene.

However, fans thought the interaction between Daniel and Bethany would end after that, especially since actress Lucy Fallon confirmed she was leaving the British soap opera.

Coronation Street spoilers for Friday reveal that Daniel will make a move on Bethany. The two are sitting on the couch together and a sneak peek picture shows Daniel leaning in for a kiss. It’s odd how once again, their kiss surrounds some sort of crisis in Daniel’s life. The first time was when Sinead was dying and now, Bertie Osbourne is in the hospital with measles.

However, it is suggested that the kiss won’t end up being a fairytale for Bethany. For one, fans are still very much committed to Sinead’s memory and Daniel focusing on being a good father. He never took Bertie back to get his last round of vaccinations, which is why the baby is in the hospital. It is also what led to Maria Connor (Samia Longchambon) having a miscarriage.

With Fallon leaving the soap, it is teased that after Daniel kisses her, he will come back down from cloud nine. Realizing what he has done, he promptly rejects her, leaving her hurt and humiliated.
