Coronation Street Spoilers: David Explodes, Viciously Attacks Gary – David Arrested!

Now that one serial murderer is gone new Coronation Street spoilers suggest that David Platt (Jack P. Shepherd) might be the soap’s new killer, as a dark storyline is about to take on an even darker twist.

As fans know, David is continuing to struggle in the aftermath of his sexual assault. Newcomer Josh (Ryan Clayton) took advantage of him after he spiked his drink at a local pub. As a result, he’s been pushing his friends and his family away as he’s been struggling to come to terms about what happened and refuses to tell anyone the truth.

In addition, David has also decided to take part in Josh’s charity-boxing match as a way to reassure himself of his masculinity. Unfortunately, Josh is refereeing the event. David eventually snaps in the ring and viciously attacks his opponent Gary (Mikey North) and even refuses to stop punching him.

Things go from bad to worse as Gary’s life is now on the line. While doctors discover that all of David’s punches resulted in a bleed on the brain, David is put in hand cuffs and arrested.

One source that is behind the scenes told Britain’s Metro paper, “David snaps and what follows is an absolutely vicious attack. Gary doesn’t see it coming and the crowd can do nothing but look on in horror. It’s bad enough for a question mark to be hanging over Gary’s fate. It’s the culmination of everything that David has been bottling up since Josh raped him. It’s not Gary that he is filled with hate and anger towards but he is in the wrong place at the wrong time when all of David’s tensions explode.”

Coronation Street airs weeknights on the ITV network and is available on Britbox in the United States.
