Eileen made it no secret that she was pleased to see her dead husband carried out of the building in a body bag after his showdown with Anna Windass. (Debbie Rush)The torment she endured from her villainous ex was no owner. However, it looks like fans won’t be seeing much of Eileen in the future. That’s because actress Sue Cleaver, who plays Eileen, is looking to leave the ITV soap.
Of course, with Eileen gone, this means Nicola Rubenstein (Nicola Thorp) and Gary Windass (Mikey North) will be forced to pick up the pieces and clean up the mess that Pat Phelan had left behind. Fans last saw the trio gazing at their newborn baby Zach. Apparently this good feeling between Nicola and Gary won’t last forever.

Nicola will soon tell Gary that she feels as though she needs to leave the cobbles for some time, especially after everything that had happened with her father. She tells him that she wants to go to Bristol to recuperate from all of the drama. As far as how long Nicola will be gone remains to be seen. Gary, meanwhile, feels devastated with the news.

I am from Newfoundland. I watch Corrie street faithfully but i am very disappointed that we cannot get to see the award show each year. Or videos either . Anyway you can fix that

Eileeen is one of my faves…when she is on, i dont get bored ..i feel i can connect with her …she has the same kind of personality i have….edgy humour and a tad of sarcasm…she keeps me watching and saying things like ‘yes, Eileen, you got this….and that wry look that only Eileen can give..she has a great sense of humour and adds a bunch to this show….come back someday Eileen..i will miss you
