Coronation Street spoilers, news, and updates tease that Elaine Jones gets accused after finding out Stephen’s malicious activities behind her back. In the previous episode of the longest-running soap, Elaine and Stephen made their way to the bistro for Sally’s birthday.

The villain then got mad secretly when Elaine saw Gerry, her Tai Chi instructor, at the venue. When Sally started talking about their classes, Elaine invited the man to join them for their meal. As a result, Stephen continued to hold his temper even more.

After the simple birthday celebration, the couple went home, and Elaine can’t help but pour compliments on Gerry. She never ceased to express her happiness about Gerry getting along with everyone at the table. “He fitted right in!” the woman stated. Though he was listening to his fiancée’s story, Stephen turned his back on her and made a rude face.

The cheerful Elaine got silent and left stunned when she saw Stephen’s reaction to the reflection in the microwave window. “I see you, Stephen, in the reflection,” she stated.

To escape the situation, the villain immediately thought of an excuse and explained that he was just getting food out of his teeth. Stephen then walked out the scene leaving Elaine jaw-dropped as she can now see her ex-husband, Geoff, at her fiancé.

The avid viewers knew that the villain opened a life insurance policy under Elaine’s name so he could get all the cash on hand if the woman eternally leave the street.

In the upcoming scenes of “Coronation Street,” Stephen invites his fiancée for a holiday in the Peak District, where he plans out his terrible “accident.” However, everything does not turn out as planned when Elaine starts to investigate and gathers evidence to bring the man down.

Meanwhile, Elaine and Tim go through the villain’s belongings and soon finds the forged life insurance documents. Tim then advises his mom to leave the apartment as he waits for Stephen to come.

When the villain arrives, Tim immediately confronts the man and expresses his extreme madness for planning to put Elaine’s life in danger.

On the other hand, Elaine drops to Audrey’s house and tells her everything she has to know about Stephen. However, Audrey refuses to believe her and accuses her of doing the fraud instead. She states that Elaine is the one who gets the insurance and plans to drag Stephen with her shenanigans.

Shocked with Audrey’s response, Elaine becomes more determined to gather evidence against the iconic villain. Will she be able to convince Audrey any time soon?
