Coronation Street spoilers reveal Daniel Osbourne (Rob Mallard) will have made a mistake by not bringing his infant son back to the doctor for the rest of his shots. The child ends up contracting measles and there are some strong reactions on Facebook. Now that those episodes have aired, we understand that it had to do with Bertie’s anguish over getting his immunizations, which is very common for babies and children. After all, being stuck with a needle isn’t a pleasant experience for anyone.

What fans need to understand is that for months, Daniel watched his dying wife, Sinead Osbourne (formerly Katie McGlynn) get sicker and sicker. She was poked and prodded with needles. We don’t want our children to suffer if it isn’t necessary.

She gave him some advice and told him he needed to take Bertie back for the rest of his shots. However, Daniel forgot and never got around to doing it.
